I HELP WOMEN FIND THEMSELVES AMONGST THE DIRTY NAPPIES AND BABY SICK!

Do you ask yourself, ‘What do I want?’, ‘Who am I now?’, ‘What about me?’ Do you feel trapped and frustrated? Feel unheard and invisible? Is motherhood what you expected?

The journey into parenthood can turn your world upside down and make your life unrecognisable. Becoming a mum changes you in significant and irreversible ways and can raise a lot of questions about your ‘self’. It can also dramatically change the relationship you have with your partner and push it to breaking point. Becoming a parent is supposed to be a time filled with joy, happiness and love…..but it’s not always.

In this ‘Yummy Mummy’ culture there are high expectations of motherhood, putting constant pressure on mums to have it all and achieve the impossible all whilst dealing with exhaustion like you never felt before, incessant demands from a baby, and possibly other family members to look after too….BUT WHO IS LOOKING AFTER YOU?

Do you want to take back control, learn to meet YOUR needs, realise YOUR dreams and create the life you want to live?

I am a qualified Life Coach and Psychotherapist who specialises in working with mums to create balanced, stress free and fulfilling lives. I help them adapt to being a mother without losing themselves, and look at related issues around being a parent such as Post Natal Depression, finding space for yourself, relationship dynamics and new expectations of you and your partner.

Whatever age your children are, or whatever stage of parenting you’re at, coaching can help you.

WHAT ABOUT DADS?

Although the majority of my clients presenting issues around being a parent are women, this doesn’t mean that men don’t have problems adapting to life as a parent. They probably don’t want to burden their wife with their concerns ….so who do they have to talk to? Mens issues are often quite different to those of women, but they may experience depression too, or witness their wife suffering with P.N.D, which can be very distressing and scary, making them feel totally alone and helpless. Who have they got to confide in? I work with many men and they find coaching very useful, as men naturally tend to seek a solution to a problem, feel comfortable with the concept of coaching, and can identify with it’s techniques. By having these skills, I am able to ensure that the progress and change that you elicit/achieve in coaching is sustainable, because you are then building on solid foundations. Your past does not have to equal your future.
